Nichole Sleeper Named MAC Gymnastics Specialist of the Week

Nichole Sleeper (Downers Grove, Ill./South H.S./Illinois Gymnastics Institute Club), a freshman member of the 2008-09 Ball State University women's gymnastics team, has been named the Mid-American Conference Specialist of the Week for her performance at Penn last Friday.
Sleeper won the vault with a score of 9.875 in her first collegiate meet, while helping the Cardinals to a 190.725-184.350 victory at Penn in the season opener for both teams. A true freshman at Ball State, Sleeper is competing on the vault, beam and floor for the Cardinals this season. She was a Level 10 gymnast for Coach Todd Gardiner at the Illinois Gymnastics Institute prior to her arrival at Ball State. Sleeper advanced to regionals as a senior and was a two-time Level 10 Regional Qualifier. The daughter of Debbie and Mark Sleeper, she is undecided on her major at Ball State.
