Women's Golf Fourth; Top MAC Team at Nittany Lion Invite

Ball State's women's golf team finished fourth out of 15 teams at its season opening event, the Nittany Lion Invitational hosted by Penn State.

Ball State was the top Mid-American Conference school in the event. William & Mary won the event with a 909, Penn State was second with a 921, Longwood was third with a 930 and Ball State was fourth at 932. Western Michigan was 10th, Ohio was 11th and Bowling Green finished 13th.

The Cardinals were led by Brittany Kelly, who shot a 79-76-74 to finish 12^th in the event. Rachael Pruett managed a 76-77-79 and tied for 16^th in the tournament.

Kirsty O'Connor shot a final day 79, while Kristtini Cain managed an 82 and Sarah Windlan tallied an 85.

Ball State returns to action Monday and Tuesday in its own Cardinal Classic at The Players Club in Muncie, Ind.
