Men's Golf Finishes with Three in Top-10 of State Amateur

Ball State had three golfers finish in the top-10 of the Indiana Golf Association State Amateur at Wolf Run Golf Club.
Ball State's Andrew Rhodes, who will be a senior this fall, finished third after shooting a 74 in the final round. Rhodes scores of 69-71-77-74=291 placed him nine strokes behing the winner -- Chris Baker of Brownstown, Ind.
Ball State senior to be Brian Maurer tied for fourth after shooting a 73 in the final round to finish with a 292 four-round total. Eric Steger, a sophomore, tied for ninth after managing a 76 in the final round.
Incoming Ball State freshman recruit Zac Treash tied for 27th after tallying an 80 in the final round. Ross Cosat, who will be a junior this fall, tallied an 81 in the final round and his four-round total of 309 tied for 32nd. Kyle Cox, a Ball State assistant golf coach, tied for 40th.
