Football Game Times Announced; Four Games on National TV

The Cardinals will open the season Thurs., Aug. 28, at Ball State's Scheumann Stadium at 7 p.m., before hosting Navy in a nationally televised game on ESPN Fri., Sept. 5, at 7 p.m.
In conjunction with ESPN and the Mid-American Conference, the Ball State University athletics department has announced its 2008 football schedule will include nationally televised games vs. Navy (ESPN), vs. Northern Illinois (ESPN2 or ESPNU), at Miami University (ESPN2) and at Central Michigan, (ESPN2), while the game vs. Western Michigan will be on ESPN360.
The Cardinals completed the 2007 campaign with a 7-6 overall record and competed in the International Bowl, which was the first bowl appearance for Ball State since 1996. Ball State hosted Toledo on ESPN2 in 2007 plus played Rutgers in the bowl game on ESPN2 in Toronto, Canada.
