Women's Golf Finishes 11th at IU Invitational

The Ball State University women's golf team finished 11th out of 15 teams at the prestigious Indiana Invitational played at Crooked Stick Golf Club in Carmel, Ind.
The Cardinals tallied a 307-304-314=925, while nationally ranked Purdue won the event with a 852 three-day total. Ball State finished ahead of Minnesota and Penn State from the Big Ten Conference plus Illinois State and Lipscomb.
Ball State's Kirsty O'Connor tied for 11th in the tournament, which featured six teams ranked in the nation's top 50. Brittany Kelly was 29th in the 84-person field with a 75-77-77=229. Amy Roberts tied for 46th with a 77-72-87=236, while Sarah Windlan managed an 81-86-77=244 and Paige Esford tallied an 82-81-86=249.
The Cardinals will return to action Sunday and Monday when they host their own Cardinal Classic at Delaware Country Club. The event will be a 36-hole tournament, featuring 18 holes Sunday and 18 holes Monday.
