Women's Golf Team Wins Butler Invitational

Ball State University's women's golf team, under the direction of head coach Katherine Mowat, won the Butler Spring Invitational at Prestwick Country Club in Avon, Ind., for a second consecutive year.
Kirsty O'Connor won the event this year after tying for medalist honors last season at the same event. O'Connor tallied a 78-76 to win the event by four strokes. Brittany Kelly, who leads the Cardinals in average this season, tied for second with Butler's Paige McCracken -- four strokes off the pace.
Ball State will return to action Monday and Tuesday at the Longwood University Invitational at Poplar Hills Golf Course in Farmville, Va.
