Soccer Falters At Western Michigan, 1-0

“Today was a tough game because of the elements,” head coach Michael Lovett said. “We fought hard all the way to the end but we just didn't put the ball into the back of the net. Our defense deserves a lot of credit for keeping us in the game as they were fantastic today and WMU was able to capitalize on an unfortunate deflection. We will refocus and get ready for Sunday afternoon.”
The Cardinals controlled the tempo for most of the game as they held a 15-11 advantage in shots and a 9-1 advantage in corner kicks.
