Williams Ends Junior Season At USA Championships

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. -- Amber Williams finished her junior season by competing in the 2007 AT&T USA Outdoor Track & Field Championships. Despite damp conditions the final two days, an impressive total of 33,540 people attended the meet.
Williams competed in the 100-meter hurdles event with some of the world's finest athletes including defending world champion Michelle Perry, and two-time NCAA champion Ginnie Powell.
Williams competed in the third heat which included Perry. Williams finished the race in 13.67. The time was not enough for Williams to qualify for the semi-finals.
The race ended Williams' junior season which included her breaking the Ball State 100-meter hurdle school record with a time of 13.19.
She earned a spot on the 2007 NCAA Division I Women's Outdoor Track and Field All-America Team, and was also named Women's Most Valuable Performer during the Mid-American Conference Championships.
