Men's Tennis Recieves NCAA Public Recognition Award

MUNCIE, Ind. -- The Ball State men's tennis program received a Public Recognition Award from the NCAA for their efforts in the classroom.
The NCAA Division I Board of Directors has approved a new public recognition program as part of the division's academic reform iniative. The team-centered public recognition program highlights the top 10 percent of teams in each sport based on the NCAA Academic Progress Rate. The APR measures term-by-term academic progress for every student-athlete on NCAA Division I sports teams.
The Ball State men's tennis program, along with IPFW, are the only two schools' in the Mid-American Conference to receive the award. IPFW is an affiliate member of the MAC in the sport of men's tennis. Ball State's men's tennis is one of three NCAA Division I institutions to earn the accolade in the state of Indiana. The other two schools were Purdue and IPFW.
