Softball Travels To Florida To Face Jacksonville

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio -- The Ball State softball team was defeated by Bowling Green 5-0. The loss puts the Cardinals at 15-24 on the season and 6-5 in the Mid-American Conference.

Ball State recorded two hits in the first inning. Kelli Jeziorski hit a double to left center field to get things started for the Cardinals. She was thrown out at third trying to steal.

Taylor Yancey came to the plate and delivered a single. Yancey's hit would be the last hit of the game for the Cardinals.

Bowling Green's Allison Vallas went 3-for-3 with two doubles and a home run to lead the Falcons.

Elizabeth Milian dropped to 10-11 on the season. Milian recorded seven strikeouts in six innings.

Ball State will return to action April 15, to face the Falcons at 1 p.m.
