Opening Statement
“On Saturday we played a little better team then we were. They executed better than what we did. They made some plays that they needed to make. I thought the quarterback threw very accurately. He really threw some good balls in there. I thought our kids played hard. I thought we had a couple of opportunities for a couple of interceptions that may of gone back the other way. Those are the things you have to capitalize on and we didn't do it when we had that opportunity. I didn't think we protected Nate the way need to protect him. When Nate has time he is pretty effective and a good quarterback. Again we need to establish a better running game. When it comes down to it we need to do a better job of blocking and running.”
Q: Talk about Ray Fisher and his impact on the game?
A: “Ray Fisher for them was more of the difference for the game. He gave IU a lot of big play ability. We recruited Ray and in fact he changed his mind about coming here but those things happen.”
Q: You have 10 days before your next game. Is that a positive thing for your players so they can regenerate?
A: “I gave them Sunday and Monday off. You look at the film and there are a lot of good football plays our guys are making. There are a lot of positives to losing and now we got to get back to our conference and play
Q: Is there frustration among the team between the two losses to
A: “I don't think there is any doubt they are frustrated. Believe me I am glad they are frustrated. Because you better be frustrated because if not you are not going to get better as a program. Now we just have to build on that. We've got to show good plays when we do execute and then you got to look at the one's you don't and figure out why.”
Q: Talk about
A: “I have only looked at two games so far. They have been running the ball pretty effectively all year. They have a good offensive line and a good back. Right now I think they are first in the league in scoring, and in total offense. Offensively they have been pretty effective. They will be a real challenge for us defensively. Coming off the
