Ali Bishel Named MAC Runner Of The Week

MUNCIE, Ind. -- Sophomore Ali Bishel (Chesterton, Ind./Chesterton H.S.) has been named the Mid-American Conference Runner of the Week, as announced by the league office Oct. 17.
The award is the first in Bishel's career. Bishel has led the Cardinals in every meet this year. Her best time came at the Indiana Intercollegiates where she finished second overall with a time of 17:44.
Bishel has two other top 10 finishes this season. At the Notre Dame Invitational she placed eighth finishing in 18:04, and at the Indiana Invitational she placed fifth with a time of 18:24.
Bishel was named MAC Runner of the Week for her performance at the Pre-Nationals. Bishel placed 31st for Ball State finishing the 6k race in 21:00.
Bishel and the Cardinals will travel to Mt. Pleasant, Mich. to compete in the MAC Championships on Saturday Oct. 27.
