Malik Perry Joins Ball State Program
January 23, 2007 | Men's Basketball
Malik Perry (Philadelphia, Pa./Philadelphia Lutheran Christian Academy) joined the Ball State men's basketball program Jan. 16, according to first-year Ball State head coach Ronny Thompson.
Perry, who is eligible to play, will sit out the rest of the semester and join the Cardinals for the 2007-08 season.
"I am very excited to add a versatile player like Malik to our program at Ball State," Thompson said. "Malik will play a very important part in the future of our program."
The 6-foot-4 guard/forward signed last spring to play this season at Iowa, before returning for a fifth season of prep school. He averaged 26 points and 13 rebounds in his first 10 games at Lutheran Christian this season.
Perry joins Melvin Goins (Humble, Texas/Christian Life Center Academy), who signed a letter of intent in November, to join Cardinals' program next season.
