Women's Basketball Takes Part in American Heart Walk
September 23, 2006 | Women's Basketball
MUNCIE, Ind. – The Ball State women's basketball team was out hitting the pavement early on Saturday morning as the entire team and coaching staff took part in the East Central Indiana Heart Walk at the Delaware County Fairgrounds. The team walked the three-mile course with hundreds of other supporters in benefit of the American Heart Association.
Cardinal fans who would like to join the women's basketball team in the fight against heart disease and stroke can provide donations to the East Central Indiana Heart walk by contacting Susan Homes at susan.holmes@heart.org or call 1800-229-1503.
This is the second community service project for the women's basketball team after the Cardinals took part in Habitat for Humanity earlier this year.
