Cardinals Suffer Loss to Central Michigan

Watson's overall score of 38.400 is a personal record. The junior also tied her personal-best mark of 9.750 on floor and posted her best score of the season on beam (9.525). Her performance on floor tied for third-place honors, while her scores on vault (9.650) and beam (9.525) earned her fourth place.
Junior Lauren West finished fourth in the all-around tallying scores of 9.125 on vault, 9.300 on bars, 9.550 on beam and 9.675 on floor. Three of five marks were personal-best scores for West (bars, floor and all-around), while her finish on beam garnered third-place honors.
Junior Jenna Tarkington recorded the team's top score of the day with a 9.775 on vault good for third-place. Teammate Erica Gilkerson chipped in with a tie for fourth on vault (9.650).
Overall, the team scored 47.775 on vault, 44.750 on bars, 46.150 on beam and 48.125 on floor. The vault score is a season-best mark for BSU.
The Cardinals continue their 2006 campaign Feb. 24-25 at the Missouri Cat Classic held in Columbia, Mo. The two-day event will feature host Missouri, Northern Illinois and Pittsburgh.
