Men's Tennis Defeats No. 71 Purdue 5-2

Seniors Matt Baccarani and Patrick Thompson tallied a doubles win at the No. 1 position before each earning a singles victory in the No.1 and No. 4 spots, respectively. Junior Joe Epkey also chipped in with a singles win at the No. 2 position over Patrick Rose (6-3, 6-1). Rounding out the singles decisions was Jarrod Epkey, who took down Kelubia Mabatah in three sets (6-3, 3-6, 6-3) in the No. 4 spot.
Tony and Jarrod Epkey added the second doubles win at the No. 2 position, earning a 9-7 victory over Purdue's Mabatah and Griffin Nienberg.
Ball State resumes action Sunday when it travels to No. 60 Indiana for a noon contest.
