Women's Basketball Adopts Grandparents
November 07, 2006 | Women's Basketball
MUNCIE, Ind. – For the eighth straight year, the Ball State women's basketball team took part in the Adopt a Grandparent/Adopt a Player program in conjunction with the Westminster Village Assisted Living Apartments.
Each Cardinal player is paired up during the season with a resident from Westminster. The Cardinals visit Westminster a couple times during the season and the residents return the favor as they attend BSU home games at Worthen Arena.
This is the third different community service project the Cardinals have been part of this season. Ball State already took part in the Muncie Habitat for Humanity and the American Heart Association Heart Walk.
