Men's Tennis Finishes Second Day at ITA Regional

The Cardinals earned a singles and two doubles matches on the day. Tetta Oyama (Shizauka, Japan) defeated Travis Curan of Toledo in round 32 of singles, 4-6, 6-4, 7-6(4) before dropping his match in the 16th round to Mikey Kantar, 6-3, 6-2.
In doubles action Jose Perdomo (Trujillo Alto, Puerto Rico/Colegio San Jose) and partner Joe Vallee (Grosse Pointe Farms, Mich./Grosse Pointe South) lost to Michigan State's Adam Monich and Nick Rinks by a score of 8-4. Cardinal twosome Aaron Phillips (Effingham, Ill./Saint Anthony) and Jorge Rodriguez (San Juan, Puerto Rico/San Igancio) upset host Pierre Dumas and Chi-Lang Pham of Minnesota, 8-3. Brothers Jarrod and Joe Epkey (Greenwood, Ind./Center Grove) defeated Jose Fuenmayor and Eric Hodgman of Purdue 8-6 to close out doubles play for BSU.
Ball State continues action at the ITA Regional on Saturday (Oct. 21).
