In doubles, the brother duo of Tony and Jarrod Epkey flew past IUPUI's Javier Saab and Ross Gehlhausen 8-3 in the top slot. Meanwhile, Joe Epkey and Joe Vallee had little trouble in the No. 2 position. The tandem took down Greg Fallowfield and Zach Breneman 8-2. Rounding out the doubles wins were Danny Vidal and Jose Perdomo who slid past Joe Harvath and Ronnie Pedro 8-3.
Each singles player won in straight-sets to finish up the match. Joe Epkey recorded a 6-1, 6-2 victory over Saab in the No. 1 spot, while Tony Epkey only gave up one game in a 6-0, 6-1 win over Gehlhausen at No. 2. Brother Jarrod Epkey turned in the same result (6-0, 6-1) over Pedro in the No. 3 hole.
Patrick Thompson also found success in the fourth spot, claiming a 6-2, 6-1 decision over Fallowfield. Jan Polhamus followed with a 6-2, 6-2 win at the No. 5 position over Breneman. Closing out singles play was Perdomo, who capitalized on a 6-3, 6-1 victory over Harvath.
Ball State looks to continue its winning ways when No. 51 Northwestern visits Muncie Sunday at 1 p.m.
