MUNCIE, Ind. -- Ball State sophomore Jenna Hague was selected Thursday as the Mid-American Conference Women's Co-Golfer of the Week.
Hague took first place at Eastern Kentucky's Colonel Classic last week with a 54-hole total of 3-over par 219 (74-72-73). It was her second tournament title this season and the fourth of her career, and it came at the same event where she won her first college tournament last spring.
The Burlington, Ontario, product topped Toledo's Sathika Ruenreong by one stroke for the tournament’s individual medalist honor at Arlington Golf Club in Richmond, Ky. She helped the Cardinals to a second-place result as a team in the 14-team field, finishing behind only Toledo.
Hague shares this week's honor with Ruenreong. It is the third time this season the Ball State sophomore has won the award.
The Cardinals return to action this weekend with the Indiana University Invitational on Saturday and Sunday in Bloomington, Ind.
