Ball State's gymnastics team suffered losses to Bowling Green and Eastern Michigan Saturday to fall to 5-5 overall and 3-2 in the Mid-American Conference.
The Cardinals tallied a 192.775, while Bowling Green managed a 194.525 and Eastern Michigan scored a 193.350. The score vs. Eastern Michigan did not count as a conference event.
Brittney Emmons, who placed sixth in the all-around with a 38.125, finished second on the vault with a 9.850 mark. Brooke Evans was fifth on the vault with a 9.80, while Nicole Allen and Denasiha Christian tied for sixth with a pair of 9.75s.
Brooklyn Schumacher was Ball State's top competitor on the bars and tied for third with a 9.625. Emmons tied for sixth with a 9.60.
Angie Hosbach led the Cardinals on the beam with a 9.775 and tied for third.
Christian finished fourth on the floor with a 9.85 mark.
Ball State will return to action Friday at Kent State in a 7 p.m. MAC meet. The Cardinals final home meet of the year will be Sun., March 3, with its Senior Day Meet at 2 p.m. vs. Kentucky in Irving Gym of Ball State's Student Recreation and Wellness Center.
