   YPSILANTI, Mich. - - Despite several strong individual efforts, the Ball State indoor track & field team sets in 11th place after the first day of the 2013 Mid-American Conference Indoor Championships hosted by Eastern Michigan.

   Kent State leads the 12-team field with 58 points, followed by Akron (42), Toledo (29), Western Michigan (23), Eastern Michigan (22.5), Miami (21.5), Buffalo (18), Ohio (12), Central Michigan (7), Northern Illinois (1), Ball State (0) and Bowling Green (0).

   BSU's top individual performance came in the pole vault when sophomore Hannah Ciasto-Poor posted the second-best individual mark in program history by successfully clearing 3.55m/11-7.75.

   Action in the 2013 Indoor MAC Championships continues for the Cardinals tomorrow morning beginning at 11:30 a.m. with the weight throw.
