What's On Tap:  Ball State continues action against Mid-American Conference East Division opponents when it travels to Buffalo Wednesday for a 7 p.m. tipoff in Alumni Arena.  The Cardinals are coming off of a 59-44 victory over Kent State Saturday, improving their overall record to 6-11 with a 3-1 league mark.  The 3-1 conference start for the Cardinals is the best since the 2008-09 season when the they started out 4-0 in the MAC.  Buffalo enters the contest with a 5-12 overall record and a 3-1 MAC mark.  The Bulls are looking to get back to their MAC winning ways after winning three straight before losing to Toledo 59-44 Saturday.

About Buffalo:  The Bulls have won three MAC contests this season after only winning two games during non-conference action.   Buffalo started league play defeating Northern Illinois (60-53) Jan. 10.  The Bulls then defeated Ohio (73-36) Jan. 13 and Kent State (69-54) Jan. 16.  Buffalo's two non-conference victories were over Oakland (11/16) Nov. 16 and Niagra (65-51) Dec. 21.  The Bulls are led by Cherridy Thornton who is averaging 11.1 points per game and Rachael Gregory with 10.7 points per game.  Christa Baccas is the top rebounder for Buffalo averaging 8.2 rebounds per game.

The Coaches: Ball State head coach Brady Sallee is in his first season at Ball State.   Sallee's career coaching record is 142-120 and he is 6-11 overall and 3-1 in the MAC with the Cardinals.  He was named the 11th head women's basketball coach in Ball State history May 10.  During his tenure at Eastern Illinois, Sallee posted a 136-109 career record.  He led the Panthers to the institution's first-ever Ohio Valley Conference title during the 2009-10 campaign. In 2011-12, Eastern Illinois was 22-9 overall, posted a 13-3 OVC mark and competed in the Women's National Invitation Tournament. Felisha Legette-Jack was named the 12th head coach in Buffalo women's basketball history June 14, 2012.  A New York native with 10 years of Division I head coaching experience, Legette-Jack most recently spent six years as head coach at Indiana.  Legette-Jack led the Hoosiers to three postseason appearances, winning 18 or more games in each of those years.  In 2008-09, Indiana won a program record-tying 21 games.
