What's On Tap:  Ball State will face its third Mid-American East Divsion opponent of the season when it hosts Kent State Saturday in Worthen Arena at Noon.  The game will be televised on Sports Time Ohio and streamed live on ESPN3.  The Cardinals are looking to bounce back against the Golden Flashes after losing to Bowling Green 73-42 Wednesday night in the Stroh Center.  Kent State comes to Worthen Arena in hopes of winning its first MAC game of the season after three straight leagues losses to Bowling Green (69-33), Akron (93-58) and Buffalo (69-54).  The Cardinals overall record is 5-11 with a 2-1 league mark while the Golden Flashes are 2-14 overall and 0-3 in league action.

About Kent State:  The Golden Flashes have only won two games this season both during non-conference action.  Kent State picked up its first win at home against Temple by a score of 71-62 on Dec. 6 and then earned a 73-55 victory over Bethune-Cookman on Jan. 2.  The Cardinals also defeated Bethune-Cookman this season in Florida, 61-56.  Kent State is led by Tamzin Barroilhet who is averaging 10.4 points per game and 6.7 rebounds. 

The Coaches: Ball State head coach Brady Sallee is in his first season at Ball State.   Sallee's career coaching record is 141-120 and he is 5-11 overall and 2-1 in the MAC with the Cardinals.  He was named the 11th head women's basketball coach in Ball State history May 10.  During his tenure at Eastern Illinois, Sallee posted a 136-109 career record.  He led the Panthers to the institution's first-ever Ohio Valley Conference title during the 2009-10 campaign. In 2011-12, Eastern Illinois was 22-9 overall, posted a 13-3 OVC mark and competed in the Women's National Invitation Tournament. Danielle O'Banion was named Kent State's women's basketball head coach on April 19, 2012.  O'Banion takes over as the fifth head coach in the 37-year history of Kent State women's basketball after spending the last four seasons on staff at Memphis.  She was a four-year letterwinner at Boston College from 1997-2001.  O'Banion has also coached at Harvard, Minnesota and Episcopal H.S.
