What's On Tap: Ball State enters week two of Mid-American Conference action at Bowling Green Wednesday in the Stroh Center at 7 p.m.  The Cardinals are looking to remain undefeated after topping Miami (62-59) and Northern Illinois (57-51) last week.  This will be the first time the Cardinals will play in the Falcons' new arena which was unveiled in September 2011.  Bowling Green is coming off of a 48-38 loss at home to Toledo Sunday.  Ball State enters the game with a 5-10 overall record and a 2-0 MAC mark while Bowling Green owns a 10-5 overall record and currenty stands at 1-1 in MAC action.

About Bowling Green:  Bowling Green remains one of the hottest teams in the Mid-American Conference.  Statistically the Falcons defense holds its opponents to an average of 40.5 points per game and a .133 3-point field goal percentage.  BGSU was picked to finish second in the preseason MAC polls and to be one of three schools to win the tournament championship.  The Falcons went on a six-game win streak in non-conference action which started Dec. 1 with a 71-49 victory over Colorado State and then ended the streak on Dec. 30 after BGSU defeated nationally ranked No. 14/15 Dayton by a score of 65-40.  Bowling Green is led by Chrissy Steffen who is averaging 11.7 points per game and Alexis Rogers with 10.3 points per contest.

The Coaches: Ball State head coach Brady Sallee is in his first season at Ball State.   Sallee's career coaching record is 141-119 and he is 5-10 overall and 2-0 in the MAC with the Cardinals.  He was named the 11th head women's basketball coach in Ball State history May 10.  During his tenure at Eastern Illinois, Sallee posted a 136-109 career record.  He led the Panthers to the institution's first-ever Ohio Valley Conference title during the 2009-10 campaign. In 2011-12, Eastern Illinois was 22-9 overall, posted a 13-3 OVC mark and competed in the Women's National Invitation Tournament. Jennifer Roos was named head coach of the Bowling Green women's basketball program on April 16, 2012.  Roos assumed the head-coaching position after 11 years as an assistant coach on the BG staff, the last eight as associate head coach with former head coach Curt Miller who assumed a coaching position at Indiana.  Ross currently has led the Falcons to a 10-5 overall record and a 1-1 league mark in her first season.
