CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. -- Ball State women's golfer Jenna Hague finished among the top 30 this week in a field of some of the top amateurs in the country at the Dixie Women's Amateur.

Hague closed the 72-hole tournament Wednesday at 8-over par 296 to tie for 27th in a field of more than 100 golfers. She shot back-to-back rounds of 71 on the final two days of the tournament at the par-72 Heron Bay Golf Club.

University of Florida golfer Isabelle Lendl won the tournament, followed by top junior player Yueer Cindy Feng and LSU signee Carly Ray Goldstein in a tie for second. The field was full of top collegiate and junior-level players.

Hague, the reigning Mid-American Conference individual champion, posted three top-five finishes in Ball State's five fall tournaments. The sophomore from Ontario, Canada, closed the fall campaign by taking medalist honors at the SCU Colby Invitational.

The Ball State women's golf team opens its spring schedule Feb. 17 at the Jim West Challenge hosted by Texas State.
