2005: Redshirted as a walk-on.

High School: Earned three letters in football for Coach Jim O’Hara . . . helped team to a 7-4 record as a senior . . . completed 139-of-224 passes for 986 yards with 10 touchdowns as a senior plus tallied 26 tackles and two interceptions as a defensive back . . . all-city . . . captained his team as a senior and helped the squad to a ranking as high as second in the state in Class 4A.
