About the Cardinal Varsity Club

The Cardinal Varsity Club (CVC) was established in 1962 by a group of university alumni and friends to provide base support for a growing intercollegiate athletic program at Ball State University. CVC members have faithfully supported Ball State's talented student athletes with their generous gifts for over four decades and have established a foundation for a quality NCAA Division I program. More than three thousand members of the Cardinal Varsity Club annually provide scholarships and academic support for hundreds of student athletes participating on nineteen teams.

The CVC helps create success for Cardinal athletes, both on and off the playing field. Gifts to the CVC comprise a large percentage of scholarship dollars and allow Ball State to attract outstanding student athletes to its athletic programs while earning a degree at the nationally recognized university. Ball State has a 75% graduation rate among all of its student-athletes and was first in the MAC, tied for fourth in the country among public institutions and tied for ninth in the nation overall.

CVC Members share the common bond of being committed to Ball State athletics. The level at which each Cardinal fan chooses to show that commitment is a matter of personal preference. Each CVC member has a choice of several membership gift levels with the Club. Membership recognition levels (see the below chart) range from Booster level at $100 annually to the Hall of Fame level at $10,000 or more annually. Individual and corporate memberships are available and open to alumni and friends alike.

Cardinal Varsity Club members share in the fun and excitement that surround intercollegiate athletics and can participate in numerous activities for Club members.
