MUNCIE, Ind. – The Ball State baseball team had three players selected in the 2009 Major League Baseball Draft this week. Junior center fielder Jeremy Hazelbaker (Selma, Ind./Wapahani) was taken in the fourth round by the Boston Red Sox, senior right-hander Brenden Stines (Granger, Ind./Penn) was selected in the 33rd round by the Houston Astros and junior catcher Zach Dygert (Angola, Ind./Angola) was tabbed by the Washington Nationals in the 48th round. The three players drafted are the most for the Cardinals since the 2006 season when Ball State had four players selected in Ben Snyder, Brad Miller, Mike Sullivan and Jeff Loveys.
