MUNCIE, Ind. - Ball State Sports Link, the immersive learning experience which is a national leader in sports media and production, will premiere "13 Players-13 Days" beginning Tuesday, Oct. 30.
The students in Ball State Sports Link have teamed with the BSU men's basketball team for exclusive player features. A different BSU men's basketball player will be profiled each day -- Oct. 30 through the Cardinals' season-opener Nov. 11 vs. Grambling.
The series marks the fourth straight year Ball State Sports Link has partnered with Coach Billy Taylor and the men's basketball team. Each of the player features will debut on www.ballstatesports.com and through Sports Link's social media platforms.
"I think it's tremendous for our student-athletes," Taylor said. "The Sports Link students do a great job. From the behind-the-scenes work to the interviews, everything is very organized and well done. They are very professional."
The 13 player profiles will also be featured on SL Radio. The player pofiles can be heard on SL radio partner, Hit Country 102.5 WMDH, on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
In addition to online distribution, Ball State Sports Link's "13 Player-13 Days" can be found on its exclusive Video On Demand Channel for XFINITY Indiana customers in Indiana. XFINITY TV subscribers can access the Sports Link programming through the "Hoosier TV" option on their receivers, then selecting Ball State, then Sports Link.
Berry is the team's leading returning scorer after averaging 9.7 points per game last season, while Scaife has had a productive three years at Ball State. The Muncie native is within 200 points of reaching 1,000 for his career, and he already ranks eighth in school history with 133 career 3-pointers.
The Cardinals are building toward their Nov. 11 opener against Grambling in Muncie. Ball State will play six of its first eight games at home in the season's opening month, and there are 16 total home games on the regular-season schedule.
