Brittney Emmons Named to All-MAC Gymnastics Team

Brittney Emmons, a senior member of the Ball State gymnastics team, was selected to the All-Mid-American Conference First Team by the league's head coaches.

A total of 12 individuals were honored to be on the All-MAC First or Second Team. 

Emmons, who was competing in her fifth season after coming back from a season ending injury in the 2011-12 season, ranks nationally in the top 50 on floor.

She tallied a first place finish on the vault with a 9.850 mark at Northern Illinois, and tallied eight top five finishes on the season.  Emmons managed a first place on the bars in a home meet vs. Penn and Centenary, while recording three top five finishes in the bars.  On the floor, Emmons tied for first vs. Western Michigan and posted five top five placings on the event during the season. 

Emmons managed five first-place finishes as an all-around performer during the season.

The 2013 MAC Gymnastics Championship hosted by Western Michigan begins Saturday at 2 p.m. in Read Fieldhouse.
