Ball State's gymnastics team will take its 3-1 Mid-American Conference record to Bowling Green Saturday for a 4 p.m. meet which also includes Eastern Michigan.
The Cardinals competition vs. Bowling Green will count as a MAC meet, while the EMU scores will not since Ball State defeated the Eagles earlier this season.
Ball State enters the event with a 5-3 overall record, while Bowling Green is 2-9 overall and 1-2 in the MAC. Eastern Michigan brings a 2-5 overall record and 0-3 MAC mark to the weekend.
Ball State has won five of its last six meets, but is coming off a 194.200 to 193.275 home loss to Western Michigan last Friday.
Against the Broncos, Brooke Evans and Denasiha Christian tied for first on the vault with a pair of 9.70s, while Christian also tied for first on the floor with a 9.85 mark. Angie Hosbach won the beam with a 9.875, and Brittney Emmons tied with Christian on the floor. Hosbach's mark on the beam ties for the fifth best mark in Ball State history.
The Cardinals will travel to Kent State March 1, before returning to Irving Gym for Senior Day March 3 vs. Kentucky. Admission to all Ball State home events is free of charge.
