Brittney Emmons qualified for the NCAA Regional in  the all-around in 2011, while Tiffany Brodbeck, Emmons and Bibiana Rodriguez all advanced in 2010.  Emmons placed 15th in the all-around at the NCAA Central Regional in 2011, while Allen placed 19th.

In addition to the individuals reaching their goals, Walsh led the Cardinals to the most wins in a single season since the 2003 campaign when Ball State managed six victories in 2010.  In 2011, the Cardinals managed five wins, including a 3-3 mark in the Mid-American Conference.  Ball State's fourth place finish in the MAC in 2011 marked the best placing for the team since the 2007 season. In addition, Ball State's 3-3 MAC record marked the most league victories since the 2002 season. Ball State managed a team score of 194.500 in a meet at Kent State in 2011, which was the 11th best score in school history.  In 2010, Ball State's sesaon best team score of 193.925 was the highest for the program since the 2004 campaign.

In her second season, Walsh led the Cardinals to four victories and produced three gymnasts which were NCAA Central Regional Qualifiers -- Emmons, Teresa Phipps and Rodriguez.

Walsh came to Ball State after spending four years as the head coach at her alma mater, the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh. In her final season at Wisconsin-Oshkosh, Walsh led the Titans to the 2007 National Collegiate Gymnastics Association National Championship. The NCGA is the governing body for college gymnastics for NCAA Division III schools. The 2007 national title was only the second in UW-Oshkosh history and the first since the 1989 season. Walsh’s Titans 2007 title ended a six year reign by UW-La Crosse.

Walsh guided the Titans to steady progress in her four seasons as the head coach. After not qualifying for nationals in her first season, UW-Oshkosh finished sixth at the 2004 NCGA National Championships. Her third team climbed to a third place finish at the national meet and her tenure at UW-Oshkosh culminated in the 2007 national title. She was named NCGA Coach of the Year in 2006 and was tabbed the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletics Conference Coach of the Year in 2005 and 2006.
