Ball State's football team concluded the second day of Spring Practice in preparations for the 2014 season as the players learn from the new coaches.
Joel Godett takes a look at the Cardinals' four new faces on the coaching staff, including John Strollo, who spent the 2011 season at Ball State, and Patrick Dougherty, who was a graduate assistant for the Cardinals in 2012.
The players have adjusted to the changes and are continuing to learn this spring from the returning coaches and the new staff under the direction of head coach Pete Lembo.
"With the addition of Kevin Kelly as defensive coordinator and the return of John Strollo as offensive line coach, this is perhaps the most experienced staff I have ever had," Lembo says. "Along with the additions of Patrick Dougherty and Nick Siatras, we have a terrific blend of youth, energy and knowledge of the Mid-American Conference. Some of the faces have changed, but the chemistry has not missed a beat. The players seem to be relating very well with our new coaches."
Ball State has 13 practices remaining and will conclude with the annual Spring Game Sat., April 19, at 2 p.m. at Scheumann Stadium.
