Ball State head coach Pete Lembo and senior running back Jahwan Edwards joined ESPN3 announcers Michael Reghi and Dustin Fox at the Mid-American Conference Media Days in Detroit, Mich., to preview the 2014 season.
Coach Lembo talked about building the Ball State program, which he has led to back-to-back bowl games for only the second time in the Cardinals’ 90-year history of football.
Edwards talked about his time at Ball State and his upcoming senior season. Already the owner of the Ball State career record with 39 touchdowns, Edwards is set to start his final season after accepting his only Football Bowl Subdivision offer out of high school in North Carolina. A senior captain who managed a 3.0 grade-point average on the school’s 4.0 scale discusses how his experience in the system will help the Cardinals in 2014.
The Cardinals play six games at Scheumann Stadium in 2014, including five on Saturdays. Ball State – the only team in the nation to increase its win total in each of the last four seasons – kicks off the 2014 campaign at 2 p.m. on Aug. 30 versus Colgate. Season tickets are now on sale and prices begin at less than $8 per game. Visit BallStateSports.com/Tickets for more pricing plans.
