Freeman leads the Cardinals with 23 total tackles this season and is tied for 24th in the nation with 11.5 tackles per game. He led Ball State with nine tackles in the season opener vs. Eastern Michigan and with 14 total tackles at Clemson.
A communication studies major, Freeman was named to the 2011 All-Mid-American Conference Second Team after ranking ninth in the nation with 134 total tackles.
