Football Team Announces Television Times for 2012

Ball State's football team will have nine of its 12 regular season games this season televised or available on ESPN3 via webcast. 

The Cardinals will play Nov. 6 at Toledo on ESPN2 and host Ohio Nov. 14 on ESPN2 or ESPNU, while the regular-season finale Nov. 23 at Miami University will be on ESPNU or ESPN3. 

In addition, the three remaining Ball State regular season contests will be available on www.ballstatesports.com.  All of Ball State's football games can be heard on the Ball State Radio Network or via the internet at www.ballstatesports.com.

""We are very excited to have the majority of our games televised this fall," Ball State head coach Pete Lembo says.  "This is excellent exposure for our football program and will be beneficial to our recruitment and program promotion efforts.  The University as a whole also benefits from these unique opportunities for national visibility."

The Cardinals will open the season at Scheumann Stadium with a Thurs., Aug. 30 home contest at 7 p.m., which will be available on ESPN3.

In the month of September, Ball State's football team will be showcased on the ACC Network and ESPN3 at Clemson, on the Big Ten Network at Indiana, on ESPN3 at home vs. South Florida and at Kent State on ESPN3.

The Cardinals will host Northern Illinois and Western Michigan to begin the month of October.  The Oct. 13 game vs. WMU is Homecoming, and will be followed by a road game at Central Michigan.  All three of those games will be available via webcast on www.ballstatesports.com.  Ball State's final October game will be at Army and will be televised on the CBS Sports Network.

In November, the Cardinals will play at Toledo on ESPN2, host Ohio on ESPN2 or ESPNU and will end the regular season at Miami University on ESPNU or ESPN3.

Ball State's football team, which has played on television 24 times in the last three seasons, managed a 6-6 overall record in 2011 and tallied a 4-4 mark in the Mid-American Conference.
