NOTES:  Added duties of recruiting coordinator prior to Ball State's GoDaddy Bowl appearance after the 2013 regular season . . . coached Jonathan Newsome to All-Mid-American Conference First Team honors in 2013, whlie Nathan Ollie earned second-team honors . . . tutored Ollie to All-MAC Third Team honors in 2012 and to the second team in 2011 . . . coached Newsome to All-MAC Second Team honors in 2012 . . . spent the 2010 season as the defensive line coach at Richmond and helped the Spiders to a 6-5 overall record, including an overtime victory over seventh ranked Elon, which was coached by Ball State head coach Pete Lembo . . . tutored defensive lineman Martin Parker to All-America honors at Richmond in 2010, and he won the 2010 East-West Shrine Game Defensive Most Valuable Player Award . . . Parker was a member of the Super Bowl Champion New York Giants in 2011 . . . coached defensive lineman Nate Collins at Virginia, who was an All-Atlantic Coast Conference selection, played in the East-West Shrine Game and is a member of the National Football League's Chicago Bears . . . While at Liberty, he coached the defensive line and served as special teams coordinator . . . he coached five Liberty student-athletes who received All-America recognition and helped the Flames to two Big South Conference Championships . . . as a graduate assistant at Virginia, he helped the Cavaliers to a 2005 Music City Bowl appearance and the 2004 MPC Computers Bowl . . . spent three seasons as the defensive line coach and special teams coordinator at Central Connecticut State under the tutelage of former Ball State head coach Paul Schudel (1985-94).
