Fan Jam Presented by MutualBank Set for Saturday
Have you ever wanted to race a Ball State wide receiver in a 40-yard dash, catch passes from a Cardinals quarterback or learn how to tackle like a Ball State linebacker? What about attempting to dig a volleyball hit by a Cardinals women’s volleyball player? Perhaps you want to fire a shot on goal like the women on Ball State’s soccer and field hockey teams?
The annual highlight of summer for many members of the Ball State community and Cardinals fans of all ages returns from 5-7 p.m. Saturday at Scheumann Stadium.
Fan Jam, presented by MutualBank, is a free opportunity to meet members of Ball State’s football, women’s volleyball, soccer and field hockey teams in a fun, casual setting.
Interactive stations will be set up for all Cardinals fans to test their skills against their favorite Ball State student-athletes. Team posters from each of the fall sports will be available for autographs from the student-athletes and coaches.
This year’s Fan Jam features free food and beverages, while supplies last, from Chick-fil-A, Jimmy John’s, Marsh, McDonald’s, Papa John’s, Pepsi and Texas Roadhouse. The merchandise stand at Scheumann Stadium will be open so fans can purchase Cardinal and White apparel for this season. WLBC-FM will also be present at Scheumann Stadium conducting a live broadcast.
The Ball State soccer team hosts IUPUI in an exhibition match beginning at 5 p.m. Saturday at the Briner Sports Complex, located adjacent to Scheumann Stadium. Fans will be able to get a preview of the 2014 Cardinals either before or after their visit to Fan Jam.
