Michigan State Tops Field Hockey 8-0

EAST LANSING, Mich. -  The Ball State field hockey team dropped an 8-0 game to Michigan State Sunday afternoon. Ball State returns home to the BSU Turf Field at the Briner Sports Complex Saturday, Oct. 19 for a 1 p.m. game against Kent State.

Michigan State was led by Abby Barker who had two goals, including the first goal at the game scored in the fourth minute.

Red-shirt sophomore Bianca Velez notched her fourth defensive save of the season. The goalkeeping duties was split between Shelby Henley and Maddi Elliott. Elliott had four saves on the day.

Junior Tarel Teach was credited with two shots while freshmen Lexi Kavanaugh and Bryce Barnes both tallied shots on the day. 

Ball State drops to 5-8 on the year while Michigan State improves to 7-7.
