Ball State to Take Part in Youth Soccer Month

MUNCIE, Ind. -- The Ball State soccer team is excited to partner with Indiana Soccer for Youth Soccer Month with activities surrounding its home games in September.

Youth Soccer Month is a nationwide initiative of the US Youth Soccer Association in which children around the country participate in activities put together by youth clubs, colleges and towns to promote the four pillars of the program -- fun, family, fitness and friendship.

Ball State has two home games in September. As always, admission to games at the Briner Sports Complex is FREE. The festivities at those two games will include the following.  ...

Saturday, Sept. 20 (2 p.m.)
Ball State vs. Jacksonville State (Senior Day)
-- Youth teams will be announced and run on the field with the Ball State starters.
-- Youth teams will participate in a halftime scrimmage on the field.
-- The Ball State team will sign posters after the game.
-- Following the poster signing, Ball State coaches and players will conduct a clinic for youth teams ages 12 and younger.

Friday, Sept. 26 (5 p.m.)
Ball State vs. Bowling Green (MAC opener)
-- Youth teams will be announced and run on the field with the Ball State starters.
-- All members of Soccer Indiana will receive a FREE concession item.
-- Bounce houses will be near the field.
-- A member of each youth team in attendance will participate in a fun halftime event.
