Highlights from Men's Basketball Team's YMCA Clinic

MUNCIE, Ind. -- Ball State men's basketball players and staff members provided a free clinic for children in sixth grade and younger Tuesday at the Muncie Downtown YMCA.

The Cardinals provided instruction and ran the children through organized drills for an hour. They then offered advice on the importance of education and making right decisions before closing the evening by signing autographs.

It was the third clinic of that type the Ball State Basketball team put on recently. The Cardinals were also at the Ross Community Center and Roy C. Buley Community Center for clinics over the past several weeks.

Ball State opens the 2013-14 season Saturday at Indiana State in head coach James Whitford's regular-season debut. The game is set for a 1:05 p.m. tipoff at the Hulman Center in Terre Haute, Ind.
