MUNCIE, Ind. -- Four Ball State teams. One jam-packed night. An exciting evening is planned for Friday, Oct. 11 with the first ever Cardinal Mashup at Worthen Arena.
In pop culture parlance, a mashup takes two or more songs and blends them to create one song. In the case of Ball State Athletics, fans will be able to see four teams in one night under one roof.
The event will provide Cardinals fans a first chance to see the 2013-14 men’s and women’s basketball teams, to participate with the football team in a pep rally for the next day’s Homecoming game and to watch the women’s volleyball team in action. And it’s all free of charge.
It will be a night of fun with prizes, free food and opportunities for fan involvement.
The evening starts with the women’s volleyball match versus Western Michigan at 7 p.m. Between the second and third sets of the volleyball match, members of the football team will address the crowd about the next day’s game.
Following the match, the arena floor will be converted to its basketball setup. While the floor is being switched from volleyball to basketball, head football coach Pete Lembo will fire up the fans.
The basketball teams wrap up the festivities with shooting competitions, brief scrimmages and speeches from head women’s basketball coach Brady Sallee and head men’s basketball coach James Whitford.
Don’t miss out on the excitement at Worthen Arena. Make plans to spend your evening with Ball State Athletics and be a part of the fun for Cardinal Mashup.
