Chase Brogna Signs to Play Men's Basketball
Chase Brogna, a graduate of St. Thomas High School in Houston, Texas, has signed grant-in-aid papers to attend Ball State and compete on the men's basketball team, according to Cardinals head coach Billy Taylor.
A 6-foot point guard, Brogna garnered all-state honors after leading Houston St. Thomas to the Texas Association of Private and Parochial Schools Class 5A State Championship as a junior in 2010-11. He managed a team-high 27 points in the state title contest.
Brogna averaged 17.6 points, 5.0 rebounds and 2.0 steals per game as a senior to help St. Thomas to a 30-10 mark in 2011-12.
Brogna plays summer basketball for the Texas D1 Ambassadors under the direction of Coach Max Ivany. He played high school basketball for Coach Danny Evans where he played alongside teammates Jeremy King (Loyola-Chicago) and Christian Sanders (Stanford).
He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Brogna.
