MUNCIE, Ind. - - Jenna Spadafora (Fort Wayne, Ind./Carroll H.S.) has signed a national letter of intent to compete for the Ball State women's volleyball team, according to Ball State head coach Steve Shondell.

"Jenna will be a very nice addition to our volleyball program at Ball State." said Shondell. "She comes from one of the top high school programs in Indiana and one of the finest club programs in the nation. She has tremendous potential as a collegiate athlete and has the ability to become an outstanding volleyball player at Ball State University."

Spadafora, a 6-1 setter, earned three letters in volleyball at Carroll High School for Coach Doug Helsom. As a senior this past fall, she helped guide the Chargers to a 26-9 overall record and to sectional and regional championships as the team's Most Valuable Player. An Indiana All-State Second Team honoree, she handed out 395 assists, blasted 324 kills, collected 235 digs, recorded 72 total blocks and served up 63 aces as a senior to also garner First Team All-Northeast Hoosier Conference and All-Northeast Indiana accolades.

Spadafora finished her career at Carroll with 916 assists, 749 kills, 513 digs, 208 total blocks and 207 aces. As a junior, she was a first team all-conference and All-Northeast Indiana honoree after helping lead Carroll to a 31-7 overall record as well as sectional and regional championships. She picked up second team all-conference honors as a sophomore after helping the Chargers win a sectional title.

Spadafora is also entering her fifth season playing for the Fort Wayne Volleyball Club where she is a setter/outside hitter. As a member of the Fort Wayne Volleyball Club, she has played for coached Trish Miller, Rick Hulls, Tony Terrell and IPFW associate head coach Steve Florio.
