DEKALB, Ill. - Courtney Wild, a true freshman on the Ball State women's tennis team has been named First Team All-Mid-American Conference. The announcement was made at the MAc Tournament by the league office this afternoon.
Wild earns the award after leading her team in overall wins with a 21-12 record while owning a 4-4 conference mark and is 15-8 in dual action. She is currently 1-0 in MAC tournament play after her 7-5, 7-5 victory over Toledo in the league tournament Thursday, which advanced the Cardinals to the first round against Miami Friday. Wild has played at No. 1 singles and doubles the entire season.
The Ball State women's tennis team will play No. 1 Miami at 11 a.m. (EST) Friday in the MAC Tournament hosted by Northern Illinois.
