Women's Tennis Loses at Bowling Green in MAC Action
BOWLING GREEN, Ohio - The Ball State women's tennis team (12-10, 3-3 MAC) fell to Bowling Green (14-3, 4-2 MAC) by a score of 6-1 in Mid-American Conference action Friday afternoon in Bowling Green.
The Falcons won at No. 2 and No. 3 doubles to earn the doubles point before winning five of the six singles matches over the Cardinals.
For the Cardinals, freshman Courtney Earnest won in singles and doubles. Earnest paired up with Courtney Wild to take the 8-5 decision over Nikki Chiricosta and Emily Reuland at No. 1 spot. Earnest would then face Reuland again at the No. 2 position in singles action but took her down in straight sets 6-2, 6-2.
The Ball State women's tennis team continues its two match road swing when it travels to Western Michigan Saturday. First serve is at 1 p.m. outdoors at Sorenson Courts weather permitting or at the indoors facility West Hills Athletic Club both located in Kalamazoo.
