Women's Tennis Signs Two NLI's for 2013-14 Season

MUNCIE, Ind. - Ball State head women's tennis coach Christine Bader announced Friday, that Toni Ormond (Toronto, Canada) and Anna Rozenberg (Chevy Chase, Maryland) have each signed National Letters of Intent to play for the Cardinals in 2013-14.

"I am thrilled to have both Anna and Toni join our Ball State tennis family," said Bader. "Anna is an extremely hard worker and has a real passion for the game. I really admired Anna's fighting spirit when she competes. Toni was a great fit for Ball State and I was excited she had such a strong connection to our team and to Ball State University. Toni's talent and athleticism will contribute to our team and make an immediate impact. Excited to have both of these girls join us in the fall of 2013."

Ormond, who attended Provincial High School, was a finalist in singles and a Bronze Medalist in doubles action.  She was the MVP of her high school team and a two time Athlete of the Year.  Ormond was the champion of the following tournaments the Ace, the Bramalea Junior Open and the Thornhill Park Championship. She was the 2012 Provincial tournament finalist and is ranked No. 47 in Canada as a first year U18.

Rozenberg, attended Bethesda Chevy Chase High School, she went undefeated in No. 1 singles in 2012 as a senior.  She was a high school state champion for Maryland her sophomore year.  Rozenberg has been ranked as high as 150 in the nation while also winning five matches at the National Clay Court Tournament in 2011.  In 2011 she earned All Met as a junior which is announced by the Washington Post.
