Looking Ahead to 2012-13 With Two Recruits:  Head women's tennis coach Christine Bader received two National Letters of Intent from two four star recruits back in November with Courtney Earnest (Lexington, Ohio/Lexington) and Bethany Moore (Lebanon, Ind./Lebanon).

"Courtney and Bethany are two great additions to our program," said Bader. "Courtney's athleticism and fighting spirit wins her a lot of matches. She has a big game. Courtney had a great deal of offers and I was thrilled that she felt such a strong connection to our team and to Ball State University. Bethany is very mature and committed very early to Ball State because she realized that Ball State was the right fit for her. Bethany is a competitor with an aggressive game. She plays with a lot of confidence and loves to finish points at the net. I am thrilled to have Courtney and Bethany join our program."

Earnest, who attended Lexington High School, has earned a No. 1 ranking in Northeast Ohio Girls 18 singles. She won the NEOTA qualifier in June of 2011 while making it to the quarterfinals of the 2011 Western Michigan Summer ITA. According to she ranks 146th in the nation, while being 16th in the great lakes section and fourth in the state of Ohio. Earnest helped her team to back-to-back state championship titles (2010-2011) and was an OHSAA Individual State finalist this season.

Moore, who attended Lebanon High School, currently owns a No. 1 ranking in central Indiana girls 18 singles and doubles. She is ranked 162 in the nation on, 19th in the great lakes section and fourth in the state of Indiana. Quote from Head Coach Christine Bader:  This is a very eventful week for women's tennis and Ball State athletics! We have a great opportunity against IPFW on Wednesday and then Miami on Saturday for Senior Day. Miami is a very talented and well-coached squad. In that match we will honor our Seniors Dena Boulieris, Kylee Johnson, and Sarah Hebble.
