Women's Tennis Signs Ayaka Terashi To NLI

Muncie, Ind. - Ball State head women's tennis coach Christine Bader announced Monday, that she has received a National Letter of Intent from Ayaka Terashi (Tokyo, Japan) for the 2012-13 season.

"I am very excited for Ayaka to join our program in the fall," said Bader.  " Ayaka is great person who is very passionate and dedicated to tennis. She is an accomplished tennis player who will make an immediate impact in singles and doubles."

Terashi joins early signees Courtney Earnest (Lexington, Ohio/Lexington) and Bethany Moore (Lebanon, Ind./Lebanon) for the incoming freshman class next season.  Both Earnest and Moore signed in early November.

A successful international competitor, Terashi was a semi-finalist for the International Tennis Federation (ITF) in Fiji and in New Zealand along with competing in the Osaka Mayer's Cup and in the Japan Open.  She all received All-Japan Junior accolades.
